Duffy Assembly Term 3

A huge congratulations to Andrew as our Caught Being Good recipient for week 9, term 3.

I am pleased with everyone's progress this term. We have made it our job to do 10 minutes of reading in class before heading out to play between 8.30 - 8.55am, this along with reading every night with our families books that we enjoy together has also helped with our reading.

Our speaker yesterday was Mr Mark Duffy spoke about how his life was hard to start with, but he persevered and has made reading his number one priority. This over the years has helped him in all that he does in his life.

Our theme this time for our Duffy boxes was - How would we feel if we didn't have our teachers?
Our head boy and girl as our presenters
 Our Duffy winner Andrew
Back in class and we all have our books WOOHOO
A huge thanks to Duffy for supporting our Books in Homes and to Mrs Bray for organising some awesome presenters - Also well done to Tumanako 14 for winning the best box... Tauke

  1. We are so lucky at @RowandaleSchool to be involved in the Duffy Books in Homes programme ... our students love their new books and enjoy having roles models speak to them on why reading in important!
