Nga Mihi Aroha ki nga whanau o #Rowandale

Last week I laid my mum Louie Katene to rest with my dad and my sister in Rotorua.

I was deeply moved with the presence of my school whanau #Rowandale and my past school Avondale Primary, who came to pay respect to my mum and support me in a journey that I know is hard for many people who lose anyone they love dearly.

I also missed a highlight in our students week with our 'Sharing Our Taonga' with our whanau on Wednesday 7th November. I was also blessed with short videos and photos sent to me, which I just finished looking through over the weekend.

I thank my class (who I will be seeing tomorrow) and my parents for your support through this time. I look forward to seeing my class - Nga Mihi Aroha,  me tou Manaaki ki a koutou katoa.
